Welcome to Westwood Babe Ruth Baseball

Westwood Babe Ruth (WBR) is dedicated to the advancement of baseball in the town and is open to all 13 to 15 year olds in the Spring and 13 to 19 year olds in the summer. In the Spring season we participate in the Norfolk County Babe Ruth League (NCBR) with locally surrounding towns. Westwood teams typically play each other and travel to Walpole, Medfield, Dover and other nearby towns to play same age teams.  

The Summer season offers age based Westwood teams for 13 to 15 year olds in the Metro South Baseball League (formerly the ASSBL) based in Braintree. Those teams can all participate in a District Tournament with winners advancing to an eventual State Championship and beyond. In addition, 13 to 19 year olds can also try out for a highly competitive Junior and Senior Legion program playing baseball at High School JV and Varsity levels respectively. The teams offered are in cooperation with the Westwood American Legion Post 320. 16 to 19 year olds may also participate for Westwood in a Senior Babe Ruth program verses High School Varsity caliber teams when available run by the South Shore Umpires Association. 

In the Fall we offer programs for "graduating" Little League 12 year olds as well as 13 and 14 year olds in a Norwood based league run by the Diamond Club. Fall Ball is a developmental program geared towards a players first experience on a full sized diamond. 2nd and 3rd year players also participate to continue to work on their game. Norwood's Diamond Club has hosted Westwood Teams for many years. The NCBR web address:
