THE RED SOX ARE THE 2010 CHAMPIONS OF THE BABE RUTH SPRING SEASON !!
CONGRATULATIONS TO HEAD COACH PETER NANGERONI AND HIS STAFF AND PLAYERS.....THEY BEAT AN EXCELLENT NATIONALS TEAM IN
THE FINALS......CONGRATS TO BOB CALOBRISI, HIS STAFF AND PLAYERS AS WELL.........
THANKS TO ALL THE COACHES, PLAYERS, UMPIRES, PARENTS AND FANS FOR A SUCCESSFUL AND COMPETITIVE SPRING SEASON.....
APPROXIMATELY 200 TOTAL GAMES WERE PLAYED BETWEEN APRIL AND JUNE.....INVOLVING 135 BOYS ON 10 TEAMS....
CURRENTLY WE HAVE ALMOST 70 BOYS COMPETING ON 5 SUMMER TRAVEL TEAMS.....
THIS IS GREAT NEWS FOR THE BASEBALL PROGRAM IN WESTWOOD.........
BABE RUTH IS LOOKING FORWARD TO ALL THE 12 YEAR OLDS MOVING UP TO THE BIG DIAMOND NEXT YEAR......
Thanks to all the Head Coaches, Asst. Coaches and volunteers for their valued contribution to both Spring and Summer Babe Ruth Baseball. There would be no Big-Diamond Baseball without these folks stepping up to volunteer both time and expertise
Westwood is fortunate to have so many residents willing to give of themselves.....all for Baseball....all for the KIDS !!!
Babe Ruth also offers Summer Travel Baseball ( 13-15 yr olds )...Senior Babe Ruth Baseball team play during Summer (16-18 year olds)
American Legion Baseball is playing as well....17-20 year olds
